East Valley Church

These four Core Values guide us in our relationship with God and others. They can help us live the L.I.F.E. God wants for us.

Leadership

We believe every Christian has influence, and leads by passionately serving others.

For even I, the son of man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many. -Matthew 20:28

Integrity

We strive to be people of God's word, so we can be people of our word, living in the light with nothing to hide.

For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. -Hebrews 4:12

Fellowship

We believe we are to intentionally pursue Godly relationships by loving God and loving people.

We are telling you about what we ourselves have seen and heard, so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.  1 John 1:3

Excellence

We strive to give our best in all we do, because all we do is for Jesus.

What ever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. -Colossians 3:23

Since our language and style are nontraditional, some may wonder if our beliefs are, too. So here is what we believe in traditional terms.

The term "Foursquare" stands for the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ as:

1. The Savior (Romans 10:9)
2. The Healer (1 Peter 2:24)
3. The Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16)
4. The Coming King (Acts 1:11)

We Believe

1. We believe that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
2. That man fell by disobedience.
3. That Jesus was born of a virgin, died on a cross and rose again to redeem us.
4. That this salvation is a free gift by the grace of God.
5. That the blood of Christ is the only propitiation for our sin.
6. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
7. In water baptism by submersion.
8. In remembering Jesus through the Lord’s Supper.
9. That the coming of Christ is both imminent and personal.
10. In heaven and hell.
11. That Satan is real and active.
12. That God has full and final victory.
13. We believe in the Spirit-led life.
14. In the Baptism of the Spirit.
15. In divine healing.
16. That the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit are for today.
17. In moderation in all things.
18. We believe that the church is the body of Christ.
19. In tithes and offerings to support God’s work.
20. That the church’s responsibility is to evangelize all nations.
